Char Dham Yatra — All-Inclusive Spiritual Journey 45

OSV Signature Pilgrimage

Char Dham Yatra

Some journeys change your address. This one changes your soul.

📅 12 Nights / 13 Days 🏠 4 Sacred Dhams ✅ Fully All-Inclusive

About This Journey

The Char Dham Yatra is not a tour. It is a reckoning — a 13-day passage through the high Himalayas where four of India’s most sacred shrines stand as eternal witnesses to devotion, surrender, and grace. From the icy origins of the Yamuna at Yamunotri to the thundering banks of the Bhagirathi at Gangotri, from the wind-swept heights of Kedarnath to the serene valley of Badrinath, each dham strips away the ordinary and leaves something purer in its place. OSV handles every meal, transfer, permit, and darshan — you carry only your faith.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Delhi → Haridwar Arrival

🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Haridwar hotel

Your pilgrimage begins the moment you step into the vehicle. Arrive in Haridwar and let the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri be your first act of surrender. The flames, the chants, the river: this is where the journey truly starts.

Day 2 — Haridwar → Barkot Transit

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Barkot hotel

The road to Barkot winds through Mussoorie’s foothills and the Yamuna valley, each bend revealing a landscape more ancient than memory. Arrive at your base for Yamunotri and rest. Tomorrow, you meet the source of a sacred river.

Day 3 — Yamunotri Darshan 1st Dham 🏔️

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Barkot hotel

The trek to Yamunotri (6 km each way, or palki/horse at personal cost) is an act of devotion in itself. At the temple, the thermal kund steams beside the icy river. This is the first dham. Feel it fully.

Day 4 — Barkot → Uttarkashi Transit

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Uttarkashi hotel

Drive to Uttarkashi — the Kashi of the mountains — following the Bhagirathi upstream. Visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple. An evening here is an evening outside of ordinary time.

Day 5 — Gangotri Darshan 2nd Dham 🌊

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Uttarkashi hotel

At 3,048 metres, Gangotri is where the Ganga descends from the heavens. The temple, the roar of the Bhagirathi, the cold that cuts through every layer: all of it conspires to make you feel small in the most liberating way. Darshan here is not a ritual. It is a conversation with eternity.

Day 6 — Uttarkashi → Guptkashi Transit

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Guptkashi hotel

A beautiful drive through the Garhwal Himalayas to Guptkashi, the hidden Kashi. Visit the Vishwanath and Ardhnarishwar temples. Rest well — tomorrow you ascend to Kedarnath.

Day 7 — Kedarnath Darshan 3rd Dham 🙏

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Near Kedarnath temple

The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (16 km, or helicopter at personal cost) is the spiritual centrepiece of this yatra. The ancient stone temple — survivor of floods and centuries — stands exactly as it has for a thousand years. Shiva’s presence here is not metaphorical. It is felt.

Day 8 — Kedarnath → Pipalkoti Descent

🍳 Breakfast: Near Kedarnath  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Pipalkoti hotel

Morning darshan at Kedarnath before the crowds arrive — the temple lit by the first Himalayan light. Descend and make your way to Pipalkoti, a gentle valley town offering rest before the final dham.

Day 9 — Pipalkoti → Badrinath 4th Dham 🌸

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Badrinath hotel

The road passes through Joshimath and Vishnuprayag — the Himalayas at their most dramatic. Then the valley opens and the temple appears: white and gold against the mountain face. Badrinath is the crown of the Char Dham.

Day 10 — Badrinath Darshan → Pipalkoti Darshan

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Pipalkoti hotel

Morning Abhishek and Aarti at Badrinath. Visit Mana Village — the last Indian village before the Tibetan border — and Vyas Gufa, where the Mahabharata is said to have been composed. Begin the descent toward the plains.

Day 11 — Pipalkoti → Rishikesh Transit

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Rishikesh hotel

Rishikesh receives you like a long exhale — ashrams, suspension bridges, the Ganga still young and impossibly clear. Walk across Laxman Jhula, sit by the river at dusk, and let the journey settle into your bones.

Day 12 — Rishikesh → Haridwar Transit

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch: En route  |  🌑 Dinner: Haridwar hotel

A final morning in Rishikesh, then on to Haridwar for a closing evening at Har Ki Pauri. The same flames, the same river, the same chants — but you are not the same person who stood here twelve days ago.

Day 13 — Haridwar → Delhi Departure

🍳 Breakfast: Hotel  |  🆍 Lunch & Dinner: En route / on arrival

The road home. The Himalayas recede in the rear-view mirror, but what you carry forward — the darshans, the silences, the moments of pure surrender — those travel with you always. Char Dham complete. Journey just beginning.
